"Hardly a miracle. I find things a few times out of the year. If each were a miracle, I'd be the bloody Messiah. You know there is enough historical evidence to suggest that the man they call Christ did in fact live. Maybe one day I'll investigate and see if he was a wizards," she said, suddenly thoughtful. "It would explain the miracles, like turning water into wine, transfiguration; healing the sick or multiplying food, all spells."
She shook her head. That was an investigation for another time. Instead she grinned. "Do you know that in many older cultures wizards kept their marriage private, between the two spouses? There were too few and not enough communities, and they came up with a spell to bind them. The witnesses, the officiant, the parties, those are all nice, but utterly unnecessary. You only need the bride and the groom to get married."
Clorinda was awkward and strange but she wasn't shy and that applied to work as well as her private life, and maybe she was reading things wrong, or maybe not, but there was one way to figure it out. "Of course, before getting married, we should see if there's chemistry." She stepped closer to Sirius and the man was bloody tall. The inch heels of her boots were not enough to put them anywhere near the same level and she pulled him down to her, before kissing him.
