"I don't care what you do," he said with a shrug. "I'm coming to you as a sign of good faith, but I have every intention of getting rid of them, with or without your help. I got rid of the Dark Lord, I will get rid of them on my own if need be." Or he could always contact Dumbledore. He didn't like the man, but he could be useful.
Regulus stepped back. "It's made up of very young wizards, all about my age. Mostly Slytherins, with a few Ravenclaws and even a couple of Hufflepuff. I'm afraid Gryffindors weren't allowed in. I can give you the names. They were too young to get the mark, but they all wanted power. When it became obvious that it'd be a long time before they saw any, they started creating their own group. It started before the Dark Lord's fall."
He went and sat on one of the arm chairs. "They were lucky. With the Dark Lord's legilimency, they would have been discovered in a heart beat, but they weren't important enough to be near Him. They have spent the past six years studying the Dark Arts. Knowledge comes at a price, though and power comes at even a greater price. They want the immortality that the Dark Lord was seeking and that doesn't come without killing. They want the power to rule over everyone and that doesn't come without killing wizards. I object to that." Not to the murders of Muggles, but he drew the line at wizards.
"I can give you their names in exchange for making me the hero that I am, naturally," he said with a smile. "If you can't make the deal, then let me know and we'll speak with Abbott or Dumbledore."
