Severus wordlessly followed Lucius back into his quarters, flicked his wand to summon a bottle of scotch, and poured a glass, which he then set down at Lucius' elbow. For himself, he poured a glass of red wine and remained standing while he drank. Nott likely wasn't thinking, Severus mused, but he kept his comments to himself. This wasn't the time. If nothing else, it seemed as though the brief meeting had gone exceptionally well, and his respect for Lucius increased a great deal because of it.
"I believe Nott will be the least of your immediate concerns," he said, eventually, reflecting on how Narcissa would take the news. She had every right to take it badly, but he couldn't imagine a scenario where she wouldn't somehow manage to rebrand the entire fiasco to reflect well upon the family.
