Carter looked at the offered hand for a few moments. People did not shake hands with werewolves, at least not once they knew. In fact, he wasn't sure most purebloods of the Black class would shake anyone's hand unless it came with a glove. Shacking the surprise away, he shook the proffered hand. He was surprised to feel that Sirius' hands were as rough as his, although Carter had a perfect manicure, born out of necessity with perfectly trimmed nails, polished to avoid even the possibility of scratching someone.
"Uhmmm, thanks, and I'm sure it will be." He hoped that it would be simply because of the possibility of a job, but otherwise, he wasn't invested one way or another. It wasn't like he'd have be able to be here as a guest.
"You do understand that I have no special skills as an accountant, yes? I can do basic math." He didn't think that a place like this required more than that. "I have never learned fiscal laws, that wasn't something that Aurors dealt with. I'd have to look them up and even then, I don't know if I could." He wasn't stupid by any mean, but fiscal laws could be tricky and the right person could help in avoiding paying hundreds if not thousands of galleons to the Ministry.
