Marlene sighed. "He died when I was thirteen, long before people thought that You Know Who would be a problem, but he was already opposing him. It was a summer day, I was home when the Aurors came to tell us." It was the day she decided that she'd become an Auror and get the people who had done that.
She stood, hands on her back pockets of her jeans. "It was sad, but I knew he died for a cause. After that, I had friends die or get hurt for that same cause. It never got better, but it was never horrible, not as long as we're alive to fight, and in the end, we won and he's dead. It was worth it, but it changed this country."
