She wanted the truth, of course, even if that was something she always found difficult. She was far more likely to give validation than to hurt someone's feelings. Before she could even voice an answer to the question, Regulus slipped into a very detailed answer to her concerns. As he spoke, her eyes were intently on the sign and she softly drew her lower lip into her mouth.
Did the traditional offend her? Not offend, per se. She cast a look down the alley to all of the rich, warm colours in the shop windows. She didn't want the place to come across as some hole in the wall full of stodgy, unsophisticated pastries. But neither did she want a nursery gone astray! Oh Merlin.
"I was making an attempt to move away from the primary colours," she replied uncertainly. She could never use red, for obvious reasons, and the other colours sent a strong message in this country, too.
She flicked her wand towards the sign. "Boulangerie Patisserie uses a scheme of black and gold--with a hint of green that I suppose would please father," she noted, the sign changing as the words left her lips. It was clear she was not happy with it, her lips clamping together in soft irritation.
Her gaze scanned the area in front of the store. "With the appropriate charms, an outside area could be pleasant," she agreed. "However, I'm afraid I can't budge on the sign."
