"That's because I'm better than most wizards," he said with a smirk. "I see no point in lying or being modest. The Black family is the one to set the standards for our society and I believe that it's our job - mine and Sirius' - to do our best. Unfortunately my brother doesn't believe in responsibilities. I, on the other hand, firmly believe that it's still our duty."
He let his fingers trail down Remus' arm, watching his reactions closely. You could learn as much from people's bodies as you did from their words. "In theory, Sirius has been disinherited. Sure, he could have children carrying the Black name, but they will never carry the Black tradition. He can't even do it himself."
Regulus laughed at the last point. "My parents blasted Sirius' name from the tapestry for befriending a Potter. Imagine what they would have done if they had known. Acceptance isn't something that's practised in my family."
