Regulus filled the two glasses and put one in front of Lupin, before sitting next to the man. "Kreacher, you may go." The pop wasn't immediate, and Regulus wasn't surprised. The house elf liked Sirius and his friends even less than Regulus. "He's with me when I need him and I asked for him when I made my return public. Sirius can take our parents' money and shove it, but there's no way I would let him hang on to Kreacher. Never treated him right. Kreacher might have been my family's house elf, but he's always been mine and I won't have my idiot brother mistreat him."
The coldness of his voice was pushed away as his thought moved away from Sirius and he forced a pleasant smile on his face, as if this was another public appearance. "I'm glad you came. I wasn't sure if last night had scared you off. Your ears have a way to turn Gryffindor red when things get to personal." He took a sip of the firewhiskey and put the glass down, eyes focusing on the other man. "I must say that I never suspected that you were queer back in school. I suppose we all learned to hide a great many things."
