Florean & Marlene
"I'm doing splendidly!" Florean continued the Polite Game. "I'm fairly upfront about these sorts of things. I think it's the best way to go."
At first, Florean thought Marlene was brushing him off for somebody else, and a flicker of disappointment showed on his face, but then he understood what she was saying, then smiled and said, "That sounds like a good plan to me. Do you need to go speak to said gentleman now? Or do you have time for a drink?" He made a gesture to the bar.
He continued, "Florean is fine. I've been out of the country for a while, so right now I'm staying with my father until I suss things out on my own. We were never the portrait sort of family, so I've got to say that I'm pretty envious. We had a ghost come live with us for a while, when I was around nine, close to ten years old, but we asked him to leave because we really didn't want him around. It was a messy business, and I don't remember most of it, but we ended up getting the Ministry's Spirit Division involved."
