Minerva & Aurora
Trailing just behind Minerva seemed to be the right thing to do. She always commanded respect and authority, whether the people around her agreed with her or not, but just now, bristling as she was, there was a very obvious path made for her through the crowd. Aurora appreciated this ability silently, taking perhaps too large a drink of her wine as they went and swallowing hard. The exhibits certainly were something - even as a Slytherin herself, Aurora could see the obvious lilt of its contents towards the favor of those represented. She didn't blame Minerva for being frustrated.
Still, it was far too crowded for Aurora's taste, even removed as they were from the main room. She was happy for the bubble of safety that her colleague provided, and even happier for the topic change, when it came. She inhaled deeply at the question, eyebrows quirking as she recalled the way her classroom had looked when she had left it to prepare for the evening. Her predecessor had been a magnificent teacher, and was obviously concerned with leaving behind enough material for whoever was destined to take her place. It was almost too much, really. There was no chance that Aurora could use all of it, especially with as many outdated and mildewing texts as she had found lingering in cupboards.
Still, she had made quite a bit of headway since her arrival, and despite her penchant for not giving herself enough credit, she believed she would be ready when the students arrived for their first class, "Well, I think," Aurora nodded a little, as much to reassure herself as anyone, "There are only a few things left to maneuver, really, then it's just preparing lessons." The readings were easy enough to plan for, it was the practical application of skills and facts that would be somewhat difficult. Even stars could be mildly unpredictable.
