He gave her a look of disbelief as she snagged the cherry from his glass. "You do realise I only got this because of the cherry?" he laughed. He motioned for the barman. "She stole my cherry--Can I have another?" Merlin, his lines were just getting worse. Fortunately, the barman seemed oblivious and dutifully popped one in the glass. He ate it before Miss Grabby Hands could get her hands on it.
"Ah, if you're in a cave of your own doing then I'm afraid I can't help. However, if you happen to get kidnapped by a dark wizard then just give me a bell," he grinned, turning his attention to her just as she went off on something she was clearly very passionate about. He enjoyed hearing about other people's interests, even if they weren't always shared.
"You have to be pretty dull to bore me so I think you're safe," he replied. "Was it common practise to upgrade your wand back then?" The idea of changing his wand filled him with a sense of dread.
