Edgar & Open (multiple responses welcome)!
Edgar wasn't a connoisseur of fine art or history, but he had an appreciation for such things (even the modern art craze that had run rampant through muggle culture). While going over the past wasn't something he did incessantly, he was a firm believer in overcoming the mistakes of the past, especially after his last conversation with Marlene. It was one of the main reasons why he turned up. It was a chance to come together to celebrate what was wizarding. There were some that were off on their high horses, bemoaning such an event, and while he understood it to an extent, he actually thought it could be a rather positive experience if people had an open-mind.
Fortunately, his days of running around high society events like a bull in a china shop were long behind him; he imagined there would be a few of the older attendees that gave him a wide berth and thanked Merlin for whatever protection charms were wrapped around the priceless objects. These events didn't drive him into agitation as they once had. In fact, he enjoyed the social aspect of it and just hoped there was a broad social spectrum on offer... though he'd find some way to entertain himself regardless, he was sure of that.
He had dressed in traditional wizarding attire: a set of tailored, well-cut navy robes with his wand concealed beneath the fabric. While he was never truly off duty, his eyes noting the various exits and the discrete security personnel dotted amongst the place, he was here to enjoy the event. So, upon entering, he headed for the bar.
