The conversation had taken a swift nose-dive into the realms of seriousness. It wasn't that he minded such things but their conversations often had a whiplash effect. While he was generally upbeat and nonsensical, in terms of his job, he was more than capable of putting on a serious face. "I suppose that's why they do it. They don't have any respect for living to do that to themselves," he added. Immortality came at a cost.

His shoulder eased back in the move, all amusement to his features as he spoke. "I was being crude and simplifying the issue. I'm well aware that the female body is a little more complex. As I said, no complaints," Edgar said, raising his hands in surrender. "Well, not that many complaints. If I'm completely off my face, I don't imagine I'm performing to my best standard but then I don't reckon they are either."
