He shifted a little on his seat, draping her legs over his lap and resting a hand on her calves. The seriousness behind the comment about crying didn't go unnoticed and there may well have been a flicker of knowing emotion. He didn't do crying. He did drunken anguish at his worst, but sobbing into a pillow was something he hadn't succumbed to for a long time.
