WHO: Neville Longbottom & Seamus Finnigan
WHAT: Being boys.
WHERE: The Gryffindor common room.
WHEN: Evening of 1 October.
RATING/STATUS: TBD, in progress.
Neville wasn't exactly sure he could call what he was doing for his Muggle Studies lesson studying. Sequestered pureblood childhood aside, Neville knew enough Muggles to feel relatively certain that they didn't abandon their weak children in the streets... it sounded a little bit more like what certain unsavory relations might've done with him if he'd turned out to be a squib.
Though, he supposed, sucking the end of his quill, that Auntie Maugatha's bark was worse than her bite. Dean had liked to say that about a lot of the Slytherins that gave Neville regular trouble. Or at least he had, but he was gone now, and they were at it worse than before.
With an expression that could only be classified as grumping, Neville shut the rubbish of a Muggle Studies book and looked about the common room for a distraction. He noticed Seamus, and figuring he was just as much in need of company - Dean had been Seamus' best friend, after all - and equally as likely to want something to do other than school work, strode over to his fellow seventh year.
"Heya, Seamus," he said, his smile half apologetic if he really was interrupting, and the rest just hoping he was welcome.
