ooc: Hey, I like novels. <3
"You couldn't if you tried.", Tony shrugged, knowing well enough that the threat that lurked beneath the other's response probably wouldn't be enough. It wasn't that he was particularly fond of the thought of being blasted into next Tuesday by the trickster, but he never let the opportunity to poke a little fun at the overly stiff demigod go to waste. "And you can save the threat. I'm pretty sure I've heard them all by now."
It'd been tense working so closely with Loki over the past few...weeks? months? He'd lost track of the days somewhere in there unfortunately and it seemed that even with JARVIS keeping him on schedule, it still wasn't enough to jog his memory. A look around the workshop however, was a clear picture of just how much the project had taken over. He'd had to move everything else he'd been working on, which was probably for the best since they'd only become distractions in the long run. The machines he'd built to track, hold, and analyze the shards took up a majority of the room while the rest was taken up by the remote generator which powered them. Of course he'd still found a bit of space to allow himself some luxury, though it'd been limited to a couch and a rather expensive coffee machine that the god of mischief had ruined in his last tantrum. (Which Tony may or may not have provoked.)
He raised a brow when the other asked for silence, but nodded after a moment, moving to the console to check for any abnormalities. The crystals had been mostly dormant when they'd found them, but prolonged contact with the trickster had seemed to cause their readings to fluctuate. They'd experimented with such in the past, but only with a single shard and even then the results were somewhat unpredictable. He took a soft breath as he turned his gaze back to the other, hoping at the very least that if they went out with a bang it'd be somewhat painless.
