Damon ignored his sister's comment, pushing the key into the ignition and firing up the Camaro's engine. He would do pretty much anything for his little sister, and she knew it, but some things he just didn't trust anyone with. The problem was, he knew Faye loved Stefan too - that was apparent in the fact that she was lying to him about her eating habits, supporting his silly little animal diet thing - even though she'd spent a long time annoyed at him after they'd turned in 1864. Damon couldn't have Stefan finding out about this little plan and he just didn't trust Faye not to tell the younger brother if he confided in her. It was best to just avoid the subject.
"Oh yeah?" Damon asked, glancing across at Faye as he pulled the camaro out of the driveway and headed down the track towards the road. "What kind of car?" Faye had never been particularly interested in cars, even though she'd had a few over the years. She'd never got attached to one like Damon had with his camaro or Stefan had with his porsche. "There's a dealership a little way out of town, but it depends what you're looking for," Damon said with a little shrug. There was something about going car shopping with his sister that appealed to him, perhaps just because he hadn't had much time to just to normal brother-sister things with her over the last century and a half. He'd been too busy working on devious plans to enjoy family time that much. Still, even though they were vampires, Faye was still Damon's little sister and he missed running around Veritas with her as a child, teasing her and always letting her catch him when they were playing chase. As human siblings, he, Stefan and Faye had been close, but Damon had always had a particular soft spot for the dark haired little girl that he could still see in the infuriating, magnificent woman sat beside him.
