So he was confirming what she had already surmised given his non-reaction to her sudden ability. She was freaking about all of this, and he seemed pretty cool. He must have suspected that she had one or something. She was pretty angry about his keeping secrets, partners were not supposed to do that. But she was just as guilty as he was, even though she convinced herself that her secret had needed to be kept. If she flipped out on him about it now, she'd just be a hipocrite.
She drew in a deep breath as he told her about Sylar. And he was right, she probably wouldn't have believed him. She set her bag on arm of the oversized chair and tried to keep an open mind about all of this. When he started talking about Elle though, and said he knew her? Veronica was about to blow a gasket. How could he not have told her that? He knew how badly she wanted to put Sylar away for his crimes. She felt like she was going to be sick. "How could you not have mentioned that you knew my sister?" She was trying to stay calm, but it felt like her blood was going to boil.
And the next part was hardest to hear of all. "So you're telling me...that I'm immortal?" It sounded like some bad fantasy story or something. She couldn't die? She didn't know how to handle that. That was not good news. If she couldn't die, she'd never see Lilly, never see her sister... She would watch everyone around her as they grew old and died, including Jeremiah. That was too much for her to handle. She got up and ran into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind her. She didn't know what she was doing, but she couldn't sit in that room with him anymore.
