Hawaii was interesting. The weather was nice. Some of the people could be a bit standoffish, but that was true for just about anywhere. After all, he'd lived in New York City and if the people weren't standoffish there... Hawaii was nice, though. Oahu was where he found himself. It was a stark contrast from the rest of the States, reminiscent of some of the time he'd spent with Candice. What led him to the place was a name he'd found in Elle's cellphone, the one he had taken from her after he'd burned her body.
It had been a man, Hawaiian, and his ability hadn't been that interesting. He could breathe underwater. It wasn't spectacular, but Sylar had relished in it nevertheless. An ability was an ability and it added to his collection. It had been too cliche, anyway. A surfer who could breathe underwater? Please.
He was walking through an open area of the city when he caught sight of a flash of blonde hair and a familiar face. Sylar halted, a deep furrow creasing his brow. It couldn't be. There was no way it was her. Turning, Sylar took her in, studying her from afar. It was uncanny... He found himself striding toward her, weaving through people until he was directly behind her.
"Excuse me," Sylar called out, voice soft and so unlike the killer he could be. "Do I know you?" He took a step closer, "Elle?"
