There had been some truth in the fact that the process sped up every time he turned; it didn't take away any of the pain though. Tyler couldn't have compared it to anything else. It was an ache that spread throughout his entire body. His skin was fever hot; body temperature always seemed to run on the warm side now.
Opening his eyes, Tyler looked at her, the expression on his face softening. "It's worth it," he managed to get out. "I just...want to fix this. Be with you." Fix him would have been a better way of putting it. Sitting up, he took the bottle that was offered to him, taking a long drink from it.
