Ripper pet her hair, not letting her go even as she rambled. No one in their house was sane. That was for sure. They all hid their secrets way down inside of them and the month seemed to be ripe with them resurfacing. "It is fine, River. Sometimes our past can take over, but you are stronger than it is."
He pulled back, blue eyes looking into dark ones. "You are River still. You are never to give up being River, remember I gave you back your name and as your master I am ordering you to keep it no matter what might come over you." He brushed back her dark tresses and kissed her gently on the cheek.
The spark of dark magic pulling at his mind to show him that she was not all that was claimed on her documents. They had messed her up, but her blood called of something more than human. Stepping back, but keeping her in his hands, he licked his lips. "Come on, we need to head home and get you some tea."
