Mitch grabbed a couple towels, one she'd use to wrap her hair right after the wash, and the other to dry it out more. "The Avalon? I've been there, it's pretty cool. I wish I could go tonight though. I have another appointment tonight," Mitch replied.
"Yes, please." Mitch went to the sink after Tris sat down there, and she gently took the woman's head and titled it back into the sink. She turned on the faucet and tested the temperature on her hand first before applying it to Tris' hair. She washed the other girl's beautiful hair and lightly sang along with the music that was playing. Her stereo system was hooked up to speakers in the hair parlor as well.
Mitch learned early on that trying to talk to a client while washing their hair was kinda hard because that person couldn't easily hear you with the water being close to their ears. Also, washing hair was relaxing and calming, and Mitch was gentle but washed the hair thoroughly. When she finished, she gently rung out the hair before wrapping it up in a towel.
"Okay, we're going to go right over her, to this chair," Mitch instructed, leading the woman to the cutting hair chair. When Tris sat down, Mitch undid the wrapped towel and grabbed the other towel, and began towel drying the hair. Then she set to work on the trimming, combing out the hair just so, and lightly taking her scissors across the hair and making it a nice straight line.
"I wonder if I can still make it out after that appointment. I suspect you'll be there all night? At the club?" Mitch asked as she did her work on the hair.
