Re: Food and drink tables
"It's practically a feast in here." Jason replied in an equally hushed tone as he grinned, both at their shared assessment and at the tickling under his jaw before he leaned down to kiss her cheek in a display of affection and as a subtle way of freeing himself from the feather without actively brushing it away as that wouldn't set the right impression at all subconsciously with anyone that saw them.
Everything them about their appearance tonight had been carefully measured and worked into the plan. Shion's dress was a gradient of beautiful blues and she would be the focus of admiration out of the pair of them. They were newlyweds after all and she still his blushing bride, worthy of all the attention they could throw towards her while his own suit was of her choosing as well, but far more sedate and responsible save for his tie which echoed the colour of her dress and his eyes. More subtle misdirection by them to lead people into trusting the two more easily as they would be dazzled by her radiant looks and spirited personality, associate it to her calm colour of dress then transfer it onto him when they picked up that same colour once more. It would build trust quickly with these people which was a bit of a challenge in a party dedicated to obscuring everyone's face from each other.
And that could be potentially disastrous to Jason on both fronts as it hinder two of his best weapons; his ability to read someone's face and his ability to lie with his own. He might not have been able to removed everyone else's masks but he did his best to minimize the impact his own mask would have on another's view of his open and honest expressions...Even if half of them were designed to give others a false sense of his intentions. "Ready to dazzle the neighbours, Pretty Flower?" He asked with an excited and impish grin to her, the mischievousness already twinkling brightly in his blue eyes as he looked towards his better half for her response.
