Elena was stuck in the house arrest still with no sign of it letting up. She of course had made it worse by leaving the house without Elijah's permission the week before and getting caught. She was being good now though and keeping mostly to her room. She did check in with Caroline and Elijah now and then but she didn't speak with her Master long when she did. It was awkward and tense between them still.

On this occasion though Elena was heading for the kitchen, wanting something to snack on, when she turned the corner and ran into someone. "Oh! Oh god, I'm sorry," Elena spoke as she stumbled back a couple of steps as she focused on who she ran into it. The sight of the woman caused Elena to pause. They looked a lot a like, like they could have been sisters if Elena had sisters, and it caught Elena by surprise. "Uh... hello?"

And here Katherine had thought she was finally alone in the big house; not that she had listened to the house before wandering out of her room. Dressed in tight dark jeans, dark heeled boots, and a grey fashion blouse that hung off of one shoulder with a deep plunging neckline, she had made herself look nice for herself rather than for others to see.

Dark curls hanging loosely around her shoulders, Katherine was caught off guard by running into another person. Her brown eyes widening for a moment in recognition before settling back to the neutrality that she wore to cover her thoughts. "Shit," she whispered under her breath.

Crossing her arms over her stomach, she looked around before looking at her young relative. As much as she had never got a lock on her daughter after the girl turned eleven, she had took all the information she could get and found her direct family line. Katherine wasn't stupid, she knew Elena belonged to the Petrova line. Still, Katherine's reactions were not typical of a long lost relative.

"Hi," she said back, her words tinted with sass and no offer of introduction given.

Elena heard the sass in Katherine's voice and that caused Elena to tense up a little. It also caused a small frown to appear on her face because either the woman was trespassing or new to the house. Either way she shouldn't be showing attitude.

"I'm Elena. I'm sorry for running into you. And you would be?" Elena asked wondering if she should go get Elijah. There were a lot of people in and out of the estate but she hadn't seen Katherine before.

"Eventually you will be." Katherine couldn't help the words that came out of her mouth some times. She had a very specialized filter, used to get out of trouble, but it always got her into trouble to begin with. Stepping to the side, Katherine shook her head. "Katherine. You've probably heard of me; if you have, it's greatly exaggerated, if you haven't then we know where you stand as Elijah's slave." Katherine gave Elena a sarcastic smile.

It was better for the other girl to dislike her, made it easier when she had to leave, and Katherine was counting the days to when she could leave the hell-hold. From the mirror across the hall, the resemblance between the girls was uncanny; their relation obvious, even if Elena did not know about it. Katherine glanced at the mirror and back at Elena. "It's good to know that he still isn't over me, since he bought someone who could be my sister."

It was pretty clear Katherine knew who Elena was but Elena had no clue who Katherine was. It caused the shifter to frown slightly as she watched Katherine a little more closely. "You know Elijah? How do you know Elijah? Who are you?" Why hadn't Elijah told her that his 'friend' was coming to stay in the house with them? Had she really broken all trust she had built with him by leaving the house for a couple of hours?

"Do you mean... that you and him?" Elena felt a cold shiver run down her spine as she looked at Katherine. They could be sisters. Was that why Elijah bought her? She knew his wife had looked like her. He had told her as such. "I rather you not talk about my Master like that."

Katherine merely smirked as Elena's mind clicked into place at the relationship she had had with the girl's new master. Though the fact still stood that Elijah's interest was perked with her to begin with because of the resemblance to his love before her. No matter the mixing of outside blood into the family line, there was a habit of producing one of more girls every other generation that looked so alike.

Being of her own human bloodline, Katherine expected more from the girl. There were not many of her line left in the world, each girl had a tendency to be feisty when they needed to, but Elena had yet to prove that she deserved to be her relation. Far too polite to a threat. Just thinking about it all was a touch too sentimental for Katherine's taste and she pushed the bubbling feelings of sympathy in the knowledge of Elena's past down.

"I can talk about my sire anyway I feel, Elena. It's one of the perks." For now, she was skipping over the fact that she was Rebekah's slave, having left the collar Rebekah insisted she wear in her room while she wandered the house.

Taking another step toward the girl so she was in the other's personal space, Katherine met deep doe eyes to deep doe eyes. "Were you on your way to the kitchen? Mind if I snack on something with you?" She brushed Elena's hair to the side. Katherine would not actually take Elena's blood without being provoked into it, but she loved to tease.

Sire. Not only were Katherine and Elijah lovers but Elijah had turned Katherine. Elena really didn't know what to think about that. Was she just another Katherine to Elijah? That thought caused a hard lump to form in her chest. Elena wanted to turn away from Katherine in that moment and go find Elijah. She had so many questions to ask him now. Maybe some accusations as well.

But than Katherine stepped closer, right into Elena's personal space, but the human didn't back down. She straightened her back because she knew Katherine was trying to intimidate her and Elena wasn't going to allow that to happen. Katherine already had to much on her. Elena wasn't going to allow her to scare her.

"He has never mentioned you," Elena spoke as she looked at eyes that could have been her own. Katherine and her looked to much alike for Elena's liking. "Not once since he bought me."

Her heart did flutter when Katherine brushed her hair off of her neck but then fear quickly disappeared. She wasn't scared of being fed on. Damon's compulsion had taken away any fear Elena would feel on the subject. "They don't keep any blood bags in the actual kitchen. Not since Caroline and I moved in. You will have to go look somwehere else for something to snack on."

"Well, you know it is hard to gain his trust and make him open up to you. Maybe you'll earn it later, now that I'll be around more." Katherine winked at Elena, unphased that the Mikealson's did not mention her to their pets.

The beat of Elena's heart quickening for a moment amused Katherine. Unlike her ex-master or new one for that matter, Katherine did not expect fear from others, lower creatures or not. She was not looking for a reaction of fear to appease her ego. Her ego could appease itself, as outwardly she was extremely confident, hiding her insecurities deep down.

"I don't like blood bags anyhow." She let her fingers slid down her mirror's shoulder. "I prefer something warm. Though, I have yet to meet this Caroline, maybe she'd be up for a snack too."

"I have his trust. I know about his wife," Elena said as she stood straighter. Elena was hanging onto the thought that Katherine was no longer important to Elijah or he would have mentioned her. She was his sire after all.

The female human stood there as Katherine ran her fingers down her skin. The touch was cold and Elena knew the vampire was trying to intimidate her. Elena refused to let it show that Katherine was doing it. Even if it was a little bit. She stood her ground as she looked at the other female in the eyes.

"If you want to mess with Klaus' current obsession then go ahead," Elena said unable to believe she was using Klaus to protect Caroline but she was. Everyone said he would protect Caroline and Elena was going to use that. "I doubt you will be missed if you suddenly disappear."

"Yeah? She's the reason we were chosen to be in his life, Elena. Don't think it's anything more than that. She was an ancestor of mine too." Of ours, she added in her head. At least the girl had the Petrova stubborn nature of standing their ground. She was definitely one of hers with that in her soul.

Katherine smirked, hiding the mixed feelings of hate and fear she had towards Klaus. "Klaus' obsession? Now I really must meet her." Katherine rolled her eyes at the remark and laughed. "I doubt he would make me disappear. Klaus would like to get his hands on me too. We have an interesting history too."

The same hate that Stefan held towards her, she held towards Klaus. The man did nothing but ruin her life, where she thought there should have been a fairytale. But Katherine knew her life was not meant to hold a romantic fairytale that she searched for. She was too afraid of letting others in for that, even family, like the one staring her down.

"Of course you have a history with him as well," Elena said her tone held sarcasm. "Were you're his lover as well?" Elena knew she was being rude but standing here in front of someone that could have been her sister and she knew Elijah was putting her on edge. Would this be her fate? Would Elijah turn her and then move on? Was she just a replacement for Katherine?

"And what is stopping Klaus from getting his hands you? I know Klaus. I know how... intimating he can be and he likes to get his way. Why are you so special that you aren't already dead?"

Katherine shrugged her shoulders in response, choosing not to say whether or not she was Klaus' lover as well. Klaus was a subject she wasn't the most talkative over. "Oh, yes, Klaus and his childish temper tantrums when things don't go his way. I had other ideas when it came to our relationship," Katherine laughed. "Well, I'm sure Elijah would not be too happy if Klaus killed me. And he hasn't exactly been able to find me until recently."

Katherine stepped back, placing her hand on her hip. "Anyway, a snack is in order. Have a nice day, Elena. I'm sure I'll see more of you." Katherine winked at her younger ancestor, leaned forward to kiss the girl's cheek, and started to walk away. She liked to keep her conversations short as to not reveal too much. It was just enough for the curious girl to have something to think on.

	Elena just frowned more as Katherine practically just brushed her off. She turned to watch the vampire walk away. When Katherine was about ten feet away Elena spoke up, "stay away from Elijah, Katherine. He might be your sire but he is my Master now." Elena would fight for Elijah because she had a feeling Katherine was here to mess with him or that is what it felt like. (Reply to this) (Parent)
