Re: Elijah and Ptarah
It was an interesting path some humans chose, rejecting their natural position. And the frustration of being punished, when simply pleasing their master could end the emotional chaffing. She nodded, agreeing and understanding his point. Being an ancient vampire, she couldn't imagine what family he might still have alive. "You have a large family that have lived a long time?"
"I can't believe I'm going to tell you this," she started and shook her head. It was an uncomfortable subject, but Ptarah would not lie about her circumstances. She had to gain some courage and paused to remove her mask. If she was going to share her past, not simply her age, it might as well be an open conversation. Looking back up to Elijah she admitted, "When I was sixteen, I was charged with theft from the temple. My father made me part of his crimes and it's a serious offense. I was sentenced to five years enslavement. They were wonderful years, but I was taken from my home. I'm now 31 and have been in this area since I was released."
