She smiled easily in return. The festivities of tonight were not typical for Ptarah, unless it were on a night of giving and worship from when she was a child. Those festivals and celebrations could last for days.
Ptarah accepted his hand, gliding her fingertips against his cool skin in greeting and her head dipped, confident that she owed him respect. "I am Ptarah," she answered. Adding to the introductions with a silky purr she said, "And I am pleased to meet you."
Her pulse quickened with an exciting thought. His light luminescent skin gave some clue to his kind. And the honesty he shared in expression and posture invited her own, "I am human. And you are not human, but vampire?" Ptarah had done her homework about the supernatural races and had given her life to their happiness. She hoped that she hadn't assumed wrong.
