Damon's vision of the two of them feeding was much the same. They were hunters, one on each side of their prey, dropping them like a stone. Dead or alive was irrelevant. More important was the kiss after, bloody from the feeding, yet perfect for the vampires. He leaned into the man next to him. It had been a week since Enzo walked back in the door, and Damon was happy. It was such a rare feeling.
"That will happen, you know. Whoever we choose will be living a dream," he replied, turning his head towards the man's ear. "But it's you I want."
"Come on. Let's find something stronger than champagne." He gestured over towards a different table. They had a few things to figure out. What were they, and how did that change everyone else? A vampire's nature could make relationships difficult, but not impossible, at least not if they wanted it.
