While not as against Mondays as most people, Tabitha was finding this particular one to be quite terrible. It had all started with her alarm failing to go off that morning, so not only did she miss breakfast completely, she also missed seeing Evan at all before he went to work. Then the shower seemed to be completely non-functioning since the plumber was trying to make the hot water a permanent thing. Then Breakfast involved her ruining her oatmeal by accidentally pouring expired milk into it. Which meant that grocery shopping was another one of those things she had to add to her already far too long list of chores she had set up for herself.
Laundy had gone even worse, as she managed to turn one of Evan's shirts a vibrant pink when it was originally white and thus adding a trip to the store to replace it before he found out. Painting hadnt gone much better since three of her oil paints had dried out during her move. So add in a trip to the art store.
At least lunch hadnt been too bad. She'd brought simple sandwiches over to Evan and enjoyed the quiet repose. Soon enough though, he had to return to his job and she had her errands. Two art supplies store later, and she found her colors, as well as several more she wanted. The clothing store had been out of Evan's size in that specific shirt, so she had to order it. But the worst had been the market. In the end, it'd taken her almost two hours just to get the simple necessities since she'd gone to the large chain store in the town rather than the little one by their house. Now, all she wanted to do was get home and unpack before Evan got there. Of course that meant getting onto her property, which meant that the damn gate needed to open up when she clicked the little opener button.
Getting out of her car, the overly petite woman stormed up towards the gate and kicked it as hard as she could, crying out when she managed to hit the top of her toe on it, rather than the rubber of the shoes she was wearing. "Damn!"
