"Mmmm, those are delicious," she echoed his mood. It was more than relaxing to spend the morning without an agenda. The coffee shop itself was humming with quiet life. It didn't matter who was there, because the chairs were close and facing eachother it settled them in their own world.
Blowing air into the coffee cup to cool it more quickly, Ptarah smiled at Nasir. She was excited to share her stories too, she hadn't had any close friends since she'd opened up to someone in Seattle several years ago. That hadn't ended well. Ptarah took a drink of her coffee, thinking about her past.
"I miss home, but there's part of me that never wants to go back." she confided leaning into Nasir. No one else would know what they were saying in confidence.
