Lillah hadn't left the house since the attack. Turned out she lost quite a bit of blood and she ended up being asleep for about 36 hours straight, sort of a mini-coma. Upon waking up, finally, she discovered she was sore and bruised and hungry. But also not allowed to go anywhere or do anything for at least another day if not more. Lillah felt odd not being the one doing the cooking, but Ripper insisted that she rest for a while. So she stayed in bed, or downstairs on the couch and watched movies mostly, and played a few card games whenever someone was around and wanted to keep her company.
Her bruises were fading, and her achiness was waning, and strength was returning to her. Lillah wanted to get out of the house and go see Meru. He had been so concerned for her when she told him about her ex getting out of jail. He deserved to know that Blake was no longer a threat. And Lillah really wanted to tell him that she was okay. Not that she couldn't contact him over a blog or something, but she wanted to see him in person. It just felt like the kind of conversation one had in person versus over technology.
Lillah managed to beg her way out of the house on Wednesday, her blood pressure being normal again, no more dizzy spells, and most of her strength was back. But she wasn't exactly alone, someone having come with her into the city and then dropping her off at the clock shop for just a little while. The bruise on her face wasn't as bad looking as the bruise on her neck, but both were yellow in their fading, making them look worse than how they felt. She wore a light pink, long sleeved peasant top with loose blue slacks, and was walking in a pair of worn tennis shoes that didn't hurt her feet. Lillah could feel herself already getting a little tired, but she wanted to see Michael.
She opened the door to the shop and looked around a bit for him. "Hello?" she gently called, not wanting to disturb him if he was working on one of his experiments he had told her about a few weeks ago.
