Carrick paused for a moment, before he replied to Hermes' next words. He toyed with his wineglass while he sought for the right thing to say. "I chose this place for you. You're looking so thin, I thought you might enjoy a meal out."
He sat back, placing his wineglass down on the table. This has been a mistake, evidently.
"Do you want to leave?" His voice was level, betraying no emotion.
