Willow had been so immersed in the book she had picked up, she didn't hear the man approach. Jumping at the sudden voice, she only just managed to not drop the text on the floor. That probably wouldn't have been a good impression at all, considering the book looked like it was a bit on the older side.
"Oh hello!" She replied with a smile, blushing slightly in embarrassment from her spazziness. Now unsure if it was a book she should be touching, she quickly put it back before answering. "I can, sort of. My master has been teaching me. I can read enough to understand what they're saying but I can't read it fluently. Which would be bad if I was trying to cast a spell in Latin. I wouldn't want to do that and put one ingredient when it was actually calling for another."
Realizing her nervous rambling had started, the redhead quickly closed her mouth for a moment before holding out her hand.
"I'm Willow by the way." She offered as way of introduction. "Could you possibly suggest some books for a witch who is just starting to learn?"
