Re: Viewing Rooms--Sonny
Auctions were noisy and tedious affairs and Severin tended to avoid them. On occasion he came to the smaller ones just to see what was on offer; sometimes he found interesting-looking humans or those with skillsets he could use.
He wandered past viewing rooms, giving a glance through the mirrored windows, half a mind to purchase someone to assist Jamison, who was getting older, as humans did. It wouldn't be long until he granted Jamison a comfortable retirement; he'd bought a condo in Seattle for him, when the time came.
His personal tastes ran to masculine men and voluptuous women, but he'd seen no one who'd caught his eye. Severin looked in the next-to-last viewing room. It had fewer humans in it and he made to move on when one caught his attention.
Young, male, dark-haired. Even though the scrubs he wore were baggy, Severin could tell that beneath them, he was slim. He'd placed himself into a submissive position, and held it, without moving during the long moments in which Severin contemplated him. This one had been well-trained, and it would ease the transition into his household, easier than a more willful one.
A possibility. Severin moved to the guard at the doorway. "I would see the one kneeling," he said. "Bring him out for a closer inspection."
