The Doctor had been bustling about, as he always did, running from library to lab to anywhere in between to give himself something to fill his head with silly ideas of inventions or fun little things just to build. He'd nearly, nearly forgotten the fact he had a date with Clara that evening. When he'd remembered, he quickly dropped the book within the library straight to the floor and hurried to his room.
That's where he was at the moment, throwing on a decent outfit. Rather than tweed today, he went with a long purple frock, worn over black vest and shirt and slacks. A gold pocket watch chain formed a 'W' over the front of bottom portion of his vest, and a starry bowtie was tied about his neck and tightened, and then readjusted. He stared at his visage in a mirror and fiddled with his hair before waving it off and spinning around to look for some boots. Once they were on, he slipped from his room and quickly made his way down the stairs.
Slipping into the dining area, he stepped inside and looked around, before flicking on the lights and making sure they were dimmed pleasantly. HE nodded his head and then turned to see Clara once she returned to the start of the date, and the smile turned to one of disbelief. Staring at the beautiful woman, he blinked a few times then grinned.
"My dear Clara, you, as always, baffle the mind. More and more beautiful as the days pass. It's really unfair."
