"Hurry up Jason, we're going to be late if you're not ready." Shion called through the bathroom door in hopes that her new boyfriend would hear and obey already. The last thing they wanted was to be late while they swindled people out of a property. And she wanted to talk with him about their story before they left. It was important to get everything straight.
Glancing in the mirror across fro the bed and making sure that her makeup looked just perfect enough to make her seem a few years older than the seventeen she was, Shion still couldnt believe what her life was now. In just a few weeks, she had fled her home, was captured and placed into slavery, and was bought by the most amazing man she'd ever met... Well not the most amazing man. She wasnt blind to the flaws she knew of. The way he made her feel though was amazing. Even after a week, her heart still fluttered every time their hands touched, either intentional or by accident. Jason just made her feel safe and cared for. He would do anything for her and already she could tell that she was falling for him.
But he was a con-artist and Shion tried to make a continuous effort to remind herself of that. There was still a large chance that he was playing her, or planning on it. And even if he wasn't, did she really want to lead the life of a criminal? It wasn't that Shion had any moral problems with it, but did they want to have to look over their shoulders for their whole lives, waiting for the smarter cop to catch them finally. Those were very big issues for her... until Jason smiled at her and she forgot. When she was alone like this though, they plagued her, causing her to tug at a stray thread on the flowy light blue lace dress she was wearing.
