At first Elena had avoided Elijah as best as she could after the incident in his room. She didn't wear any of the night gowns he had bought for and she even put a chair in front of the door to his room. But after a couple of days Elena noticed that Elijah was keeping his distant himself which hurt the teen more then it should have. She wouldn't admit it out loud but she missed Elijah and his gentle touches. She was starting to get lonely and was starting to think Talking to Klaus was a good idea. Elena was beyond grateful that Caroline was in the house or she didn't know what she would do.
Elena was still having nightmares and trouble sleeping though she put it down to the sudden change in her life then actually being scared of something. She tossed and turned at night as she dreamt about being different kind of animals and being caged. She was currently having a nap in her room that resulted in one of her nightmares and she woke up with a start. But something was wrong. The world was different and Elena didn't know what was going on. The bed was huge and was that her clothes she had been wearing? She went to grab the necklace that is her collar only instead of a hand she had a paw. Elena started to panic.
"Elijah!" Elena called her master's name but it came out sounding like a loud pain meow. Was she a cat? She was a cat! Panicking Elena jumped off of her bed and ran out the door. She was grateful that she hadn't closed it. She tried to get into Elijah's room but the door was closed. So she had to find someone else. She tried every door she could get to but most of them were closed. The one door that wasn't closed was Elijah's study.
A grey tabby cat that Elena would recognize was Mittens from when she was little dashed into Elijah's study. Elena effortless jumped up onto his desk and stared to meow at Elijah as she tried to talk to him. "Elijah! It's me! Elena! Something happened! I'm a cat!"
