Re: Lucifer and Sebastian.
There hadn't been any point in walking into those little viewing rooms to talk to any of the merchandise being sold here today. Very few had caught his interest as he'd watched them from behind the mirrors, some seemed not at all interesting and some seemed a little too crazy for his purpose. Either he could fix or tame, he knew, but he wasn't sure he was willing to pay good money for something he would have to bend and break when there were plenty of them running around outside of this place he could simply take for free. The only thing that kept him here was sheer necessity. It was becoming increasingly difficult to find willing 'donors' when he wanted them, and taking someone as he had done before just wasn't a wise idea if he wanted to settle in this place for a while. So it was this, or nothing for the time being.
He wondered what the return policy on these things were.
The last slave was led off stage to meet their new master and the next brought out. Sebastian remembered watching this one sleep in the back, as though he weren't about to be auctioned off to the highest bidder and he hadn't a single care in the world. He'd actually grinned when he passed by his window. Other slaves were putting up such a fuss, some were crying, others doing their best to put everyone off of them, and this one was asleep. It amused him, and for some reason, had made him look twice. And now, he stood on stage, somber and a feigned - oh yes, that was obvious to him - look of guilt or remorse displayed in everything from is stance to the set of his jaw.
Sebastian considered him for several moments hardly listening as the auctioneer rambled through the list of the man's positives and negatives, because he really didn't care what he'd done to land him there or if he'd been a slave before. It took him several moments to decide, and the bidding had already started and gone up before Sebastian signaled his first. He sat out a few more, waiting to see how high the others would go. One female bidding, was easy to read what reason she wanted to make this purchase for, she was nearly squirming with every bet she placed. By the time she backed down the price was hefty and the man she'd been bidding against looked nervous and Sebastian wondered if he'd been bidding against her all this time to drive the price up or if he were truly interested. He finally bid again, not surprisingly, unopposed, but still owing a pretty penny for this man. It would probably hurt later on, but he owned something now.
He settled his bill and walked to the back to claim is slave so that they could be on their way. "I hope you're worth what I just paid for you." Sebastian's greeting was typical fir him. Small talk wasn't something he engaged in often.
