Three years. It had been three years since she'd been remotely interested in another guy, let alone beyond attracted to a man. And Emerson was definitely a man. He was older than her ex, though she didn't know his exact age nor did he know hers. It didn't matter though, age was just a number.
Since he was bringing dinner, she'd made pumpkin pie for dessert and gotten a bottle of red and white wine. Jenna wasn't sure what he was bringing and so she wanted to be prepare. Having spent the morning cleaning her small cottage, she'd changed her sheets, switched out her towels, scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom, and dusted the living room, dining room, bedroom and studio.
Dressed casually in a black, cotton dress that flared out from her hips slightly, she'd worn her hair wavy and all over the place. Her make-up was light with just eyeliner, blush, and lipgloss. As for jewelry, she wore a black leather cord with a gold charm around her wrist and gold earrings to match. When there was a knock on the door, Jenna checked in a mirror quickly and then opened the door. "Can I help you? I don't remember ordering any food."
