Carrick hadn't been expecting to see his lover at the party. Despite his privileged background, Russ had always seemed to him to be more comfortable in dive bars where the whiskey flowed freely and the parking lots were full of car horns and fistfights than in candlelit soirees.
Carrick stepped up behind him and spoke quietly. "I've never seen you in a tuxedo. I'm trying to decide if you'd look better in or out of it."
His hand brushed lightly over the back of Russell's waist in a brief caress before he stepped away.
