"Perhaps." As much as Sayuri would love to go back to her home country with Kenshin, there was little chance of them ever being safe there. And being safe with Kenshin was far more important to her. A flash of how hurt he'd been during that time of humanity ran through Sayuri's mind for a moment and she silently shuddered.
"There is no need to add more. There is such beauty in the simplicity of it and the routine." She agreed. "And I think it's quite special to share it with you. But right now, I would like to share the meal that you packed." She motioned to the basket. "I was starving just watching you make it."
