"A quarter of a century, really? Well isn't that just too long to be missing one of my favorite people," The Doctor said this with just a tiny bit of disdain; although, her emphasis on the 'bumped' did make the Doctor grin rather gleefully before quickly wiping that away. The woman knew what his weaknesses were, sure, but he'd not dare try and expose them again and again; after all, he did like to think he could overcome them most of the time. And he could, at times, though not always. And more often than not, not with this one.
The Doctor shook his head, "Can't imagine why your parents think you're even the type to settle down, or why they'd do that to a nice, unsuspecting Fae. I think anyone married to you would find their lives a bit too exciting, don't you think?"
His gaze latched onto her body a moment, watching her sip at her drink, not daring to mind read the girl yet. Not yet, he knew for a fact that if he did she'd try and play some trick on him. Distract him in some way, and he wasn't really in the mood to try and dodge that in any way, shape, or form. Instead he focused on conversation; she was clever, but he had no doubt she could slip in conversation far easier than in her mind.
"So am I to assume you chose quiet little town entirely by random, or chance? There's a reason you chose here; intending to take over the government here too, Seraphina? Or have you moved onto grander ideas..." He was, of course, referencing her time with The Master. His eyes locked onto her own as he questioned before then shaking his head, "Probably not, you weren't very good at it before. So why then, why here of all places? You never do anything without reason."
