The Doctor scoffed at the mention of an old friend, and the sense that she was somehow an innocent, good being. Making his way inside, his mood had changed considerably; while approaching the establishment, he'd been in a sort of excited, curious, exploratory mood. Whereas now, he was more or less in an investigative mood, his eyes wandering the establishment. Absurdly photographic memory taking in the layout, grasping anything that seemed out of place, telling, that might give away any of the plans the woman might be having. Not that she had to have any plans, but in reality, she kind of did.
Hands clapping together, he smiled a bit and glanced at her, noting the documents she slid out of eyesight, head tilting to the side, but said nothing about it, "Family? You? Interesting, and here I thought you were the independent sort. Right, yes well, I'm living here, I've done absolutely well for myself, and I am planning on exploring the luxuries the island has to offer. Which is why I'm here, curiosity. Heard a Fae had opened this place up... wasn't told it was you though."
Turning to face her once more, he moved closer and leaned across the counter to stare at her, "How long has it been this time? What have you gotten yourself up to, who are you running from that you're all the way over here? That you're hiding in this small town? Don't make me laugh when you say you're here for the business."
