It was incredibly worrying, the mood that his Master was in. He'd attended to his previous master on the full moon before, but there had been three of them, and his previous master hadn't been quite as angry at the full moon as Harvey was. It seemed like everything he did was wrong, and it made Mike worried. He tried harder.
Really, Mike was afraid of not pleasing his master. He didn't want to displease him so. He wanted to please Harvey in every way imaginable. But then, as Mike started to feel wrong, he realized... was there a reason why Harvey hadn't taken him yet? Was he not what Harvey wanted after all? Was he defective?
Mike was in the kitchen when the thought hit him, getting a glass of water for his master. He'd felt his heart clench at the thought and his hand loosened enough so that the glass fell from his hand and hit the floor, shattering. "Ah, no!" he cried out softly, shifting back and pausing as the little shards of glass bounced and settle. Tears began to gather in his eyes. Look at what he had done. He was such a clumsy slave, no wonder why Harvey didn't want him.
"I'm sorry," he rushed to say as me moved to dance away from the glass to get a towel.
