The scene he had left behind at the Auction house was not one that she was happy with. Sure, Tessa wanted someone that would keep her on her toes. What she didn't want was someone bringing undo attention to her. She'd lived far too long in the spotlight and after her divorced had been finalized, she had decided to take a step back and live a somewhat normal life again. Tessa would still have her fun and party, but not quite as recklessly as she had.
The door being locked and the alarm being set was for protection against intruders. Tessa was a socialite and a model, she didn't need stalkers having easy access to her or her home. As she was newly moved in, she hadn't yet been able to put up the proper wards and protection spells so the alarm was a necessary evil. At Peter's question and own answer, she gave him a look. She'd give him a piece of her mind once she was calmed down enough to do so.
A small smirk pulled at her lips when he called her Captain Sexy Pants and spoke about smelling of meat market. She had a feeling it was going to be hard to stay mad a guy like Peter. When she heard the water running, Tessa went back to her room and said a small spell to get a fire blazing in the fireplace in front of her bed. Stripping out of her own clothes, she walked into her closet and pulled out a pair of her ex's sweatpants for Peter to wear and a long t-shirt for herself. It reached mid-thigh and was snug enough over her body to not move up too much as she moved about.
Curling her legs up to her chest as she sat on divan at the end of her bed, Tessa stared into the flames. Lost in thought, she didn't hear him as he came into the room. Finally looking away from the flames, she wiped away the single tear that feel freely down her cheek and then looked to the door to see him standing there. "Smelling less like meat and more like Starlord?"
