Klaus pressed a hand to his lip, noting the small, crimson stain on his fingers before the wound healed as swiftly as he'd been bitten. He was puzzled at first by Caroline's mortified reaction. A nip here or there was common when vampires... enjoyed one another's company in such a way. He was quick to remember, however, how new she was to all of this, and her control of that inner hunger was not as finely honed.
"Love, you've nothing to apologize for. With our kind, this thing does happen from time to time," he assured her, chuckling softly as he brushed a hand along the side of her face. "If it would make you feel better, I'd be happy to return the favor," he couldn't help but tease.
