She'd been the one up for sale, to be taken advantage of. The moment he'd smelled her amongst his home and his pack, he knew what he wanted. He wanted her to be safe, taken care of, protected always... And he wanted to be the one to do it.
Leaning down with a growl, Jake captured her mouth in a hungry and angry kiss. He couldn't tell her why it was different for her, but maybe he could show her. Wrapping his hands around her, he hauled her up close to him but didn't trap her against his body. If she wanted, she could free herself from the kiss.
