Abbey flinched slightly as his larger hand covered her own but made no attempt to pull away. She was still having a hard time trusting him. In her short life as a werewolf, Alphas and packs just couldn't be trusted. They were cruel and vicious and she had learned early on to steer clear of them. And now here she was, tossed into the middle of one and was expected to be happy about it.
"I will try to be more open to your pack while I'm stuck here." She conceded. "But as soon as my fathers debt is paid I'm gone. I can take care of myself. My home is in new York. And I wouldn't ask my father and brothers to uproot their entire families just to be here with me."
