Clara giggled at her Doctor as she worked. Well, her and Willow's.. No.. wait, Clara now had to share him with Buffy too. The smile that had been on her face from The Doctor's amusement was quickly gone at the thought of sharing him with someone she didn't even know. When she first got there, she had felt out of the loop, but now the three of them had become cohesive with each other. With Buffy there, Clara once again felt out of the loop, but this time with Willow and Buffy.
That's right, Clara had to share Willow too. Worse yet, share her with another best friend. All these thoughts were going through Clara's head as she stirred, until she was stopped by large hands redirecting her to face those ever watching, ever insightful eyes she just loved to get lost in.
She listened to his rational and knew he wasn't wrong, but she wasn't just trying to impress Buffy - she was trying to avoid her. Clara parted her lips to speak, but stopped, then tried again, and stopped again. She wasn't sure what to say. Her brows furrowed in thought. The Doctor was right, she was going about this all wrong. Even wanting to avoid her was wrong. This wasn't like her; she didn't hide when things changed, she usually ran head first into change.
Clara blushed lightly, feeling foolish. "You're right. But I'm still finishing dinner," she stated with a smile. Just on cue, her second over beeped to tell her it had reached its baking temp, so she moved back to her batter and made quick work of pouring it up into the pan.
