Clara lightly rolled her eyes at the Doctor's observation that she had been cooking more often than usual. In reality, it had just been 8 out of the 11 nights since Buffy got there. Well, dinner anyways. Breakfast had been an everyday thing, and she made lunch 7 times now since Buffy had been brought home. But really, who else was counting but her?
"Oh Psssshh! Cooking is fun for me," she defended, going back to stirring the batter just a bit more. His mouth around her finger did bring a genuine smile across her face and put butterflies in her tummy.
She glanced about the kitchen, trying to remember where she put the peanut butter chips and chopped almonds. Clara hated making 'typical' brownies, so she used different add-ins, and her favorite combination thus far had been the peanut butter and almond one. Locating the two bags a little ways down the counter, she took a few steps to retrieve them before returning to her batter bowl.
Feeling his ever watchful, and concerned gazed on her, Clara gave a light sigh and decided to come clean. Sort of. "I'm just trying to make sure I make a good impression on Buffy, that's all." She gently stirred in the last ingredients to the batter and it was finally ready to go into the tray.
