The Doctor was sitting in his lab actually, quiet and concentrating on the object in front of him. In fact, at this very moment, he had his goggles on and was soldering pieces of tiny metal together on what looked to be a small computer chip. He heard the silence in the house probably louder than he heard noise itself; it was telling, told him the beautiful young ladies in his care were likely studying, or reading, or up to something nefarious that he'd find rather amusing later.
It wasn't until he heard a semi-loud 'oompf' followed by the exclamation from Clara that his ears perked. He finished soldering the item on his chip and was about to stand up when she came storming into his office and began to just talk... and talk. He looked up with his big goggles and tilted his head as he looked her over. He then pointed at her with the soldering iron, "You're not a cat. You're naked."
The Doctor tossed the iron down and stood to his feet, removing his goggles and setting them behind him on the table, then moved towards her to rest his hands on either cheek, "So, why don't you calm down and tell me what you're worried about. If you want to be a cat, then be a cat. Brilliant trick you do, changing into a cat. Strange girl." He kissed her forehead, then stepped away, "Unless I'm missing something."
